New Hobby

My boyfriend and I have found ourselves a new hobby - going to new restaurants to try out different foods at least once a week. So fun and a nice way to discover new stuff.

Last week, for our 10months, Henry and I went to try out "Chefs Gallery" in the city. It's been opened for a few months now and I've been meaning to try it out - so we booked a table for 2.

Upon arrival, the girls at the counter walked us to our seats, the interior designs were quite nice, it had kind of like a "east meets west" feel. Very nice.

Looking at the menu, most of the foods were quite reasonably priced, but the vegetables were  ridiculously over-priced. That was pretty disappointing. Henry and I decided to order 2 dishes a soup with 2 desserts and 2 drinks,  which totalled up to $45.30. The service was pretty pleasant and fast, the servings were decent size. Not the best, but not so bad either.

Last weekend before Henry and I both had work, we went to this Japanese restaurant near his work at Museum call " Sushi on Stanley". Apparently, it was quoted as the cheapest Sushi Place In Sydney City. We ordered 2 Lunch Sets, one teriyaki beef and a sushi and sashimi Set. The Servicing was quite fast, even though the quality of the foods weren't on top ends. It was still very tasty and fulfilling! And the best of all, it was very cheap! For two people, two lunch sets that came with appetizer, soup and rice as well as two drinks , the bill was under $30 :) I dont think you can get that anywhere else around the city.

My Beef Teriyaki Set - $8.50

Henry's Sushi and Sashimi Set - $14.00

And yesterday, as Henry and my day off, we went to visit Joyce and Fei at Chatswood and went to New Shanghai at Chatswood Chase for lunch. We waited for about 10-15mins for the table and ordered 2 main dishes, the Shanghaiese little dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), fried dumplings(Guo Tei) and veggies to share between 4 people & 4 drinks as well. The price rounded up to around $60. The food was alright, servicing was a little disappointing because they accidentally combined our bills with another tables bill, which scared the crap out of us when we went to pay the bill. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos so there's nothing to show. haha

Last night for dinner, we once again went to Hot plate with Joyce & Fei and Christine and Tony came to join us :) The Food wasn't as good as the first time for some reason but it was still alright. Caught up with Christine and Tony cos I haven't seen them for so long. It was a nice catch up just right before christmas :)

Christmas is just around the corner, I haven't even done my christmas shopping yet. The next few days I am going to be so busy so the only time I have left is to do my christmas shopping on Friday Morning before I go to work at 5pm. Anyone care to join?

&&I wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
Enjoy this festive season with your loved ones. x
